Well, and here we are again! In this case, we have been doing a poster about the rights we have for being European citizens.

But, do you know which are they? Do you have any idea about it? If not, let's talk about it!

Some of the important rights:

1. Voting in European elections:
2. Voting in municipal elections
3. Right to free movement and residence
4. Right to consular protection
5. Freedom from discrimination on nationality

As you see, these rights are very important for us, as part of EU. As we are part of the EU, we are together in some way, we face problems together, helping each other. For example, at this time, we are in a economical crisis, but we are hopeful and we will be living in pace and relaxed.

Together in San Sebastian!

It is four weeks since we left Irelad and we really wanted the Irish people to come because as you know we really enjoyed the time we had in Ireland and we became such good friends.

In my case there was a little problem: at home nobody speaks English but me, so I had to be translating every singe word they were saying because my family wanted to know everything what he said. But at the end we got used to it and even they could understand each other by sings, it was rather funny!!

I have to say that the most curious thing is they were  absolutely amazed by San Sebastian. Everything was gorgeous for them; the weather, the views, the beaches, the people... I can understand it because the Basque Country is different in some ways to Ireland.

On the other hand, we did a lot of things together, indeed, we spent all the time together; we went to the beach (Ondarreta), to have a walk through the coastile, we went to have fun to the Old Part... I have to add that in seemed they had not never gone to have fun or that way at least. I mean, they go to house parties but not to bars or pubs as we do in here. They really liked they had a great time..

I miss my parter, and I feell everybody does it as well. Apart from being our parteners also they have become good friends, and I want them to come back or I will go to Ireland maybe, well we could be doing both things; we are young and it is time to take advantages of this things!!!

To sum up, going to Ireland and Irish people coming to San Sebastian it's been an expectacular experience and I would recommend it to anyone :D

Last days, we've been working on different types of sustainability. But... what is it? let's ask it to google:

For humans, sustainability is the potential for long-term maintenance of well being, which has ecological, economic, political and cultural dimensions.

Healthy ecosystems and environments are necessary to the survival and flourishing of humans and other organisms. There are a number of major ways of reducing negative human impact. The first of these is environmental management. This approach is based largely on information gained from earth science, environmental science and conservation biology. The second approach is management of human consumption of resources, which is based largely on information gained from economics. A third more recent approach adds cultural and political concerns into the sustainability matrix.

GLOBALIZATION

In a time of globalization and global shifts in power, our values and interests can only survive in a strong Europe.

EMAUS WORKSHOP

DAY 1: Two weeks ago, some people from Emaus came to explain us the importance of Fair Trade. We dealt with them about the different views and aspects of the people from their project. 
Then, they explained us the most important aims of it.


DAY 2:

Last Friday we had the chance to talk about an Indian Emaus cooperator, exactly the founders daughter "Mon".
She started explaining us how was the beginning of Emaus and what are the main aims of it.
She started working with her neighbors. She contributed in a lot of economical activities  and also she got in contact with Belgium because  they wanted to support the workshop Emaus has given them a lot of interaction.

Nowadays as we know in these countries, people don't work in good contitions and even don't have enough salary to bring up their children and their own. So Emaus program, tried to defend the rights of these workers. They have done a lot of work to achieve it and nowadays plenty of the workers work in much better conditions.
They earn for what they work. I mean, they earn a fair quantity of money. The products they sell are equivalent to the money they have received  for fabricating it.
ON the other hand, there are some products and they keep on giving solutions to avoid them such as environmental solutions women rights( women don't earn as much as men)

*They have some educational programs to help them. Now, thanks to it more people has the chance to develop their facilities of life.

OUR OPINION:

This experience was different from the ones we have done before. A new experience, a new exercise... we had the chance to be in contact with people that work  mainly helping other people's life. We shared ideas and different opinions and it was a great moment.

2013 speaking english!

Hello! As you can imagine, we´ve enjoyed a lot our christmas holidays. 

We went to Donosti at night to celebrate the new year and we met two girls from England.
At first, they didn´t know that we were able to speak in english but when they saw that we could undertand it perfectly, they started speaking to us! We had a lot of fun with them and we enjoyed a lot that day.
